Bed & Breakfast accommodation for lovers of history, culture and art ...

A warm welcome awaits in my traditional stone house in the centre of this typical, friendly wine village, nestled in the foothills of the Corbieres.

The house is full of charm and character, with timbered ceilings, Mediterranean colour washed walls, decorative fireplaces and authentic French furniture throughout.

Comfort ... Culture ... Conviviality ...

A calm, friendly environment where the villagers still have time to say bonjour.

Take an evening stroll, buy wine from the vat or honey from the farm and dine amongst the vineyards.  The leisurely pace of life will seduce you ... so why not stay a little longer?

Breakfast is a feast, with fresh breads and patisseries, home made confitures, juice, coffee, tea and chocolate, yoghurt and fruit. Served in the yellow dining room, a table by the fire, or on the sunny terrace in the walled garden.

Relax in the large open lounge after a busy day - cool in summer, with a log fire on chilly evenings, and books on art, history and local attractions for your pleasure.    Or enjoy balmy summer evenings in the perfumed, walled garden, where you can share a sociable drink or bring a picnic to the table.  Refrigerator and drink making facilities are available.

Come for a weekend, 3 days or more to explore the history, culture and art in this fascinating region.  As an art lover and historian I can help you plan your itinerary and arrange English-speaking tutors, guides and transport, or even workshops, demonstrations, garden visits and wine tastings in the vineyards.  Bring a group for painting, photography or writing - or come alone with your paints and camera and meet like-minded people. Ask about themed weeks.

The accommodation comprises three large individually styled bedrooms with private bathrooms, with a 4th for families and friends to share a bathroom.  Each has independently operated electric heaters, fans, duvets, slippers and hot water bottles for your comfort throughout the year.  Additional rooms available for groups.
